Kaukauna High School
Challenge/Need
Kaukauna High School has come to TLC Sign numerous times over the years for varying needs. First they needed an entryway arch over their football field access area. Then we produced various designs to display Wrestling championships who have won awards. Our most recent wrestling display was a multi-surface level stand-off wall sign in the shape of their championship crest. Recently TLC also designed and produced wayfinding signage with a specialty reflective color of their ghost mascot, which increased visibility at night for easier wayfinding for those evening events.
Process/Implementation
The entryway arch was designed in the school sports style of cut rolled steel, but added the unique element of being curved in a semi-circular shape protruding out towards the visitor rather than the more typical flat panel cut in an upwards arch shape. Mounting on top of stone pillars with the mascot “dangling” beneath were the finishing touches to a crisp, neat, but unique sign. TLC is proud that this design and implementation won a Wisconsin Sign Association Sign Design Contest Award that year in the non-illuminated category.
